My Predictions for 2010
It’s New Year’s eve and I thought it would be a good time to make some predictions for the year to come, it seems everyone else is, so here we go.
- Apple and Google’s relationship will deteriorate; Google has released products and is planning to release products that will compete with Apple’s products. I also see Google getting into the music business in the future, which will not be good for Apple.
- There will be a major internet scare in privacy; more and more of people’s information is being stored on the internet and that increases security risks. No one can guarantee complete security online, someone will find a way to hack into it, it’s just a matter of time. After all, as they say, “If you’re looking for security on the internet you’re looking in the wrong place.”
- The Apple Tablet will be released; there has already been so much hype about it, so I think it does really exist. It will run a stripped down version of OS X, but will have more of an iPhone feel to a Mac feel and it won’t have a stylus, because that’s just not cool.
- Optical media will become obsolete; With the internet offering us so much media we won’t need things like CDs or DVDs, or Blu-rays.
- Google Chrome will pass Firefox in popularity; Chrome is a very fast and sleek web browser. It has already overtaken Safari (or so I have heard) and with the release of Linux and Mac OS versions it is sure to increase in popularity even more.

YAY A POST! And, as you may have noticed, I've finally added IntenseDebate to your blog!
I've also added post slugs so you could have prettier URLs.
And lol, am I seriously the only one that buys CDs anymore?
That reminds me, I haven't written my New Years Eve post yet! *scampers*
1. I am sure it will, although I'm not sure about the music bit…
. I am very excited about that. I think the media room needs some
. Apple just registered the domain name “iSlate.com”.
2. Yeah, sounds about right.
3. OMG YES
4. I don't know. Probably not in the next year, and hopefully never if it relies on current cloud technology… I don't like the idea of handing all my data over to a third party. What I would like to see is remote/local storage – you have all your data locally, but can access it remotely over the net – then you keep control of your data, but can take it with you wherever you go.
5. Maybe, but probably not in the next year…
